Elsa Mouratidou Sextet
Epsilon & Theta

new album out now

Tradition is ever-present and constantly breathing thanks to the efforts of young artists who reinterpret it and translate it into their own language. Such is the endeavor of the talented singer Elsa Mouratidou and her sextet. Twelve songs through which the artists engage in a dialogue with profound concepts like love and death, drawing references from Pontus and Central Macedonia to Crete and Skopelos, all while offering a modern perspective. For this reason, alongside familiar rhythms, we also hear jazz interludes and darker, atmospheric interpretations. Additionally, the album features two beautiful original compositions, Monopati and Irthes Ypne.
